These are compound leaves. A
compound leaf consists of several leaflets. You can tell the difference
between a "leaf" and a "leaflet" by looking at where the "leaf" stem attaches.
Leaves are attached to woody twigs. If a stem attaches to a non-woody
"twig", then it is a leaflet.
